tbh i can't pick. both of kinds of DUMPLINGS! are great. if i'm only getting one order i'll pick steamed but if i'm making them or ordering several plates then i will order both steamed DUMPLINGS! and fried DUMPLINGS!

saute them in oil, very lightly for maybe 6 minutes. then add water, 1/2 cup or more depending on how many, cover and cook for another 8-10 minutes

see i find with the tj's DUMPLINGS! you must saute them pretty aggressively for a couple mins to get the bottom to brown, but yeah, from there you need just enough water and heat to simmer and another 6-8 minutes of cooking time.

yeah i put the stove on 7 or 8 (laaame electric stove) and let the oil heat up quite a bit before dropping them in. also just a couple tbsp of water works fine.

ya i've never had TJ DUMPLINGS! but on the occassions that i have bought frozen DUMPLINGS!, found it best to steam them a little (just a little to soften them up - otherwise they fall apart), then pan fry them. oil needs to be pretty hot
