Bracken might get another go, but he will have to have another plan.

I hope you are right about the others (Waugh is a given, obviously).

Happy New Year, horace

Kumble 8-for

goes to show how much those Indian fans know ...

they thought he was rubbish and should have been left at home!

Also Martyn, but horrie doesn't care one way or the other about him. The 64cent question is, why not?

ahem...FN...martyn is a useful bat...as his average shows...he has one failure this series...at least he did not run anyone out

Bracken is a good back up bowler, good for keeping it tight at one end, and if Reid does some more work with him and can develop the reverse swing and he goes back to bowling at the stumps, he could be a great deal more.

Magoo will not be missed though, to be fair, he has put far more effort into the last two Tests than the rest of his recent games. Even the SCG crowd don't seem to like him - he was heckled every time he went near the ball after the dropped catch - unlike Ponting and Katich.

No need to say more about Blee. At least, I hope not . . . . .

PS: I was there when Tugga played his final innings.

Martyn is shite end of story. He is too easily shut down and this is why his promising starts fail to turn into decent scores. If Martyo was a Dubber Horrie would be lining him up along with everyone else who has two eyes.

Vixen are rank.

REB

Has the retirement of the koala meant the retirement of horace from foruming?

Marto looks classy when he is in form but doesn't produce often enough
for my liking. Coming in at no.4 he should be one of the lynch pins of
the side but I don't think he is good enough to do that. If they give
Love another chance they should play him at 3 and move Punter down to 4,
with Katich and Martyn at 5 and 6 (Martyn has played his best cricket at
6). Since Love is suspect against spin they may not take him on the
subcontinent tours, in which case Punter should stay at 3, with Boof
to come in at 4. If Martyn continues to underperform, it could be time
to give Clarke a go.

Regardless of whether Love is in the squad, they should play Boof at 4, Katich at 5, and Marto at 6. And if Marto doesn't come good, put Bevan or the Clarke kiddie in that spot.
