Who wants to start the BOS-STL WS thread?

NoTimeBeforeTime, Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:29 (ten years ago) link

That 3-2 pitch to Bogaerts is going to play in my mind a lot more than the slam.

House Sharknado (Andy K), Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:30 (ten years ago) link

i going dancing tonight, so it won't be me

xpost

Bee OK, Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:31 (ten years ago) link

Can't imagine what that Fielder sequence will do to your head, then.

Van Horn Street, Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:31 (ten years ago) link

ump was calling a ton of outside balls for strikes against tigers earlier in game too, the fix was in

乒乓, Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:32 (ten years ago) link

tru

zvookster, Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:33 (ten years ago) link

"the agony on the detroit side" *shot of completely impassive detroit bench watching the ball sail over*

six outs left in my baseball season

eclectic husbandry (Dr Morbius), Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:36 (ten years ago) link

The 3-2 to Bogaerts was a strike, but even if he's out, Victorino gets to the plate with two on thanks to the error. I don't think Scherzer makes it out of the inning regardless.

NoTimeBeforeTime, Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:36 (ten years ago) link

I feel bad for Iglesias--not invested enough in Detroit to be angry at him. To have stand out there, can't imagine.

clemenza, Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:36 (ten years ago) link

iglesias remains my fav player in this series

乒乓, Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:37 (ten years ago) link

btw could Dicktorino try punching himself in the face on his next HR? next year, i hope.

eclectic husbandry (Dr Morbius), Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:41 (ten years ago) link

Don't know if Veras could throw a worse 0-2 pitch if he tried.

House Sharknado (Andy K), Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:42 (ten years ago) link

uehara, then

乒乓, Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:43 (ten years ago) link

Victorino and Jim THOM are the only players with two postseason grand slams. Go figure.

NoTimeBeforeTime, Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:45 (ten years ago) link

cant believe he celebrated his grand slam what a dick!

Bart get out I'm piss (am0n), Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:47 (ten years ago) link

never pull scherzer lol

lag∞n, Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:48 (ten years ago) link

乒乓, Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:50 (ten years ago) link

all look alike, do they

乒乓, Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:51 (ten years ago) link

anyone know the last time the two WS teams were the league leaders in run differential, ie, the season's two best teams? cuz Bos-StL would be, and it makes three weeks of tournament baseball kinda feel like a total waste.

eclectic husbandry (Dr Morbius), Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:52 (ten years ago) link

this has been a great series!

lag∞n, Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:57 (ten years ago) link

Maybe NYY-PHI? The '09 Yanks and '07 Sawks were the last two teams to win the WS with the best record in MLB, before that it had been a while (90's Yanks I think)

NoTimeBeforeTime, Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:57 (ten years ago) link

oh look a hit against koji

k3vin k., Sunday, 20 October 2013 03:59 (ten years ago) link

eclectic husbandry (Dr Morbius), Sunday, 20 October 2013 04:06 (ten years ago) link

"Every called strike against us was a ball, but we managed to shake it off and take the series."

House Sharknado (Andy K), Sunday, 20 October 2013 04:06 (ten years ago) link

Bart get out I'm piss (am0n), Sunday, 20 October 2013 04:06 (ten years ago) link
