i love that we have Cueto, watched him a bit when on the Reds but had no idea he was this good.

so glad he threw out his back in that one playoff game a few years back.

Johnny Cueto has some serious guile, I thought signing him could be a good deal as he has enough skills that losing a bit on his fastball might not matter as much as some pitchers. Big thing with him is keeping him healthy and not having that abdominal injury come back, as it has before. He's real fun to watch pitch as he's got a bunch of odd timing tricks he uses on batters.

I guess he is going against the Reds early next week.

i mean...he's gotta be cooked, right? if 3/5 of the rotation is great to good (depending on how you view samardjiza) they can afford to eat the inevitable peavy fuckups and matt cain being old

i really think the Giants need to stay away from Tim Lincecum. been there done that, has already pitched for the Giants two more years than he should have. time to move on.

that being said Peavy need to retire and can give Cain a bit more time but his time might be up too.
