Manny's suspension is under 8.D.2. of the Agreement, which provides:

D. Conviction for the Possession or Use of Prohibited Substance

A Player who is convicted or pleads guilty (including a plea of nolo contendere or similar

The 50-game suspension would seem to indicate that it's either a Stimulant or a Drug of Abuse. If not a Stimulant, as per Shasta, it would seem to be a Drug of Abuse.

It's actually kind of good for the Dodgers though. Even Manny-free they should be able to easily walk with the division and they don't have to pay him what $8M or so.

it seems pretty horrible for the dodgers! it seems like one of those potentially tough psychological blows and $8 million is pocket change.
