Matt Harvey will start on Wednesday on short rest. TC says he wanted to get back on the mound as soon as possible.— Steve Gelbs (@SteveGelbs) September 4, 2017

Have we suffered enough yet. I just want 70 wins.
Going to guess the whole training staff will be fired in the offseason, and TC will not return.

Moltar: Mets have already said that they are not making changes to their medical staff, training staff, or their partnership with Hospital for Special Services. If you were a free agent, would that alone scare you away from signing with the team? Would you take the Beltran route and only see private doctors? Eno Sarris: You know, I think their problem might actually be internal and communication related? How often is it just what they told us was a… fabrication? Does Terry Collins foster a clubhouse of communication and openness? Does the GM make sure that all players feel welcome to reveal what they are feeling without repercussion?

Noah Syndergaard will face live batters in Miami, and the Mets hope he is able to get into a game sometime over the weekend at Citi Field.

According to sources within the organization, the Mets are keen on the idea of bringing in someone they consider more technologically savvy and more fluent in analytical and sabermetrics: someone in the mold of the Cardinals Mike Matheny.

I think the DN writer is a bit confused about Matheny's skill set.
A Jacob deGrom stomach bug is forcing the Mets to shuffle their rotation, pushing the ace’s Friday start back to Sunday. Robert Gsellman will take the hill on Friday, with Matt Harvey going on Saturday.

Anyhoo I'm much more worried about the Mets signing Career-Year Moutsakas for 3b than I am of their finding a manager "in the mold of Mike Matheny."

Such a bummer about all the injuries, and then selling off most of the veterans in the last two months. Only solace in the end was getting to see extended looks at all the rookies/young guys. Still going to say I am looking forward to 2018 even though I have no idea what deals will be made in the off season.

Among the factors Jeff Wilpon cited in counting David Wright's insurance covered salary as part of the payroll is the cost of the policy, "which is not cheap."— Mike Puma (@NYPost_Mets) January 23, 2018
Jeff Wilpon said the Mets do not reinvest their David Wright insurance money back into the payroll because they must pay for the policy and for 25% of Wright's contract, and don't want to get caught way over budget in the event that Wright does return.— Anthony DiComo (@AnthonyDiComo) January 23, 2018
