Holliday still struggling. Read that his 1-30 start is the worst through 9 games since Gary Disarcina in 1990. (Lifetime Angel...hmmmm, I can make use of that information.)

As truly dreadful as his .033/.094/.033 (.127 OPS) is... it's really the 2BB:16K that's more concerning (should note it was 1BB:15K before yesterday).

He was 138BB:138K for his MiLB career (12BB:8K this year).

Albert Suarez, huh. No MLB appearances since 2017 and 11 scoreless innings in two starts.

Henderson's HR last night makes him the the youngest player ever to hit 10 before May 1st.

Feel like that's a tricky stat as opening day began around April 22 then over time shifted to the second Saturday in April and now in 2024 we had games played on March 28.

Still surprised in that he's 22, and there have been a number of Griffey- and Matthews-type players who were already regulars at 19 or 20 (another: Giancarlo Stanton). I would have thought one of them would have done that.

Feel like the A's did that in the Moneyball era (at least moving SSs to 2B/3B)? I know the A's were also starting 3x CFs in their outfield for a while when CFs were undervalued.
