i get annoyed with the frequency of these things like by the time you win the world series who cares what's left to do, how do you keep alcohol-spraying interesting

and i think it's 100% straight up ridiculous to celebrate winning a wild card game berth AND the wild card game, i mean come on

so i'm thinking WS and berth/WC game win, but i'd like to live in a world where winning a pennant is still seen as a big deal. idk. the angels in the outfield dad wasn't like "me and your mom will get back together when the angels win the world series." he said "when the angels win the pennant." and that's important.

This is a good question because part of the perceived "unfairness" of the WC game is related to how "qualifying for the playoffs" is portrayed. Baltimore and Washington winning their division by 15 games is presented no differently than Oakland backing into the playoffs and barely qualifying for a coin flip game. One day you're having a champagne celebration and posting pictures on Twitter with your balls hanging out of your jockstrap, and the next day you're going home, oh it's so unfair! No, it's perfectly fair, and the new wildcard system with the renewed emphasis on WINNING your division was supposed to make that clear.
