I mentioned this at ILX way back, thought I'd float it here. I've played three (maybe four, it's been almost a year) leagues before - you draft/purchase a roster of old-time players (from the 19th century to five years ago, bums to legends) and manage them through a simulated 154-game schedule over seven or eight weeks. You can choose your favorite park and tailor your team accordingly - from LA Coliseum with the short left field to parks with almost no fences.
12 teams to a league, and you can fill up whatever space is left over from the general pool.
The downside is that teams are $50 apiece (which killed ILX's interest), but it's a lot of fun.
