the american league has five teams with a positive run differential, and all of them by a solid margin (maybe the indians will wake up or maybe trout will carry the angels to respectability, but i'm not really counting on it.)

here's how many games the astros have left with those four other good american league teams:

6 with boston, all in the next two weeks
4 with the yankees
3 with tampa

they also have 8 combined against the cubs/cardinals/brewers.

that leaves 98 games against, at best, mediocrity. good job, baseball. that's riveting entertainment
