Prospect Blade Tidwell dazzled on Saturday in his second start of spring training, tossing two perfect innings with five strikeouts. He needed just nine pitches to strike out the side in the second for an immaculate inning against big leaguers Josh Lowe, Eloy Jiménez, and José Caballero.

Tidwell showed off his velocity too, topping out at 99.1 mph on his fastball.

Too soon to get excited about Mets pitching prospects, but I can't help myself and they ARE going to need them this year given the injuries.
