I nominate Lima's wife.

Casa Ole! Fresh Today!

(Only residents of Houston during Lima's tenure with the Astros will understand this.)

(I guess that's only me.)

I thought they called off the mascot search?

eleven months pass...
The Dodgers have lost 20 of their last 31 games against pretty lackluster opponents. Ignoring Colorado, they're battling for the cellar of the NL West.

Assy pitching and Jeff Kent washing his metaphorical truck will do that do a team.

Odalis is out for a couple weeks but surely he's not the only one who keeps all the tacos in the yard.

Let's not ignore Colorado! The Dodgers shall rise with the tempacher!

Dr Morbius (Dr Morbius), Thursday, 26 May 2005 14:32 (twenty years ago)

They've actually played Colorado 6 times already (4W-2L).

Its all on the pitching if you ask me.. As of last week, LA had scored the second most runs in the NL.

Weren't all of their 12 wins earlier in the season come from behind victories? Thanks to the starters the Dodgers have been behind in like.. every single game. hehe.

I went to the Angels game on Saturday and all I could think about was going to the Short Stop afterwards and drinking $1 pabsts. So boring. We also had a fan, no doubt driven insane by the heat and boredom, charge into center field which was pretty fun.

Lowe's been fantastic, probably pitching just a smidge over his head. OP and Brad Penny are holding their own - Perez's BAA (.246) is actually lower than Lowe's (.253), as is his WHIP! The rest of the rotation (Grim Weaver, Dennis Erickson, and Pick Your Poison) have been gangrenous (sic, probably). Rumor (or the blogosphere) has it that Giovanni Cararra will / should find his way into the bullpen (tho his bullpen numbers make that a hard sell).

Fun fact: DJ Houlton has been in 12 games. In those twelve games, he's thrown 16 innings. In those sixteen innings, he's given up TWENTY NINE hits and NINE walks.

There's lots of talk about Weaver throwing shitty because of a shoulder ailment. Injuries havent been doing the Dodgers any favors. Im hoping Werth comes back and hits like he was toward the end of last season.
