Extortion is bad, I would think that kidnapping would be worse. I don't think that whole think with Urbina ever resolved, did it?

re: werth

my impression was that since root was threatening action against werth (releasing videos and testimony of women he'd slept w/) there was extortion or some form of blackmail in the offing. it's not clear to me, however, what root sought.

Told of the claims in the lawsuit, Ken Root said: "Jesus. And my son's the one who sent these letters?"

Ken Root was later quoted as saying he hadn't seen his son in a while and hadn't had much to do with his upbringing anyway.
