Spalding Base Ball Guides, 1889-1939 (Library of Congress)

Not Spalding guides, but probably the most applicable thread. I went to the big twice-a-year card show here today, not intending to spend very much. But some guy had a table filled with boxes of team media guides from the '80s, '90s, and '00s, and--after first leaving with a few other books and then doubling back--I bought them all. He was only charging $2 per guide, which is great (there's a card store downtown that sells them for $10), but he had 220 of them. $400, after an additional discount. He got them from some guy who used to be affiliated with the Expos.

Adding to the insanity, he's got more in storage that I'm going to look at in a couple of weeks. I already know I'll buy whatever he has. My brain just shuts off in these situations.
