Anyone else play the Prospectus Predictatron?

I did it! I was confused @ first as to why they only totaled at the ML level, & not at the league level, but then I remembered interleague play. My predictions are totally bonkers, tho I don't have any team winning more than 95.

Also, if I can win TWO Bud Selig photos, my life will be complete.

I have only the Red Sox and Cards at 95+ wins.

Lord help me, I think I picked the Cubs for 90+ over the Cards. Damn you, Dusty.

FYI: here's info on the {MORTAL LOCK} - "In each league, you must pick one team that you designate as your Mortal Lock. This difference between this team's actual number of victories and your prediction will count double against you. For example, if you pick the Dodgers to win 95 games and they only win 82, you will lose 26 points instead of 13. Important: You must designate as your mortal lock a team you are predicting to win either 90 or more games or 72 or fewer games."

I can see the Red Sox winning anywhere from 92 to 102, depending on Wells' and Schilling's health/aging. The Twins have done 94/90/92 the last 3 years, why stop now, with The Best Pitcher in Baseball?

As with almost all entrants, the White Sox and A's are killing me, but I may really regret putting Washington at 62 wins.

I'm projected for 636, which is good for #1064. The White Sox, the A's, and the Nats are killing me. My best picks so far: the D-Rays (only 2 off!), the Tiggers, and the Yanquis.

Of the 12 Prospectus staff members who are playing, I'm outpointing 11 of em! :o

I'm down to #407! Should've picked some of those cellar dwellers for 105 losses... Have no idea who's hurt methe most in the last month, especially since the A's have risen and the D-backs swooned.

I bounced up to #427. The leaders are generally ppl who had the Chisox and Nats at at least .500.

If the Chisox win less than 9 games the rest of the season, I am GOOD!

Well, I'm all caught up re the A's -- I forecast 92 wins -- but now MY mortal lock (Twins!) is hurting me worse than the Nationals are... But I am up to a season high at #378 as all the teams I expected to be mediocre cluster around .500.

Since we both finished in the bottom half of the standings, I can only console myself with outpointing David R 786-751. Twins as my AL Mortal Lock killed me, along with the Dodgers.

Only teams whose win totals I nailed exactly: Blue Jays and Phillies.

I got ANA (sorry, LAA) and TEX spot-on. The Nats & Dodgs were my bete noirs. Or betes noir. In other words, they fucked me. AND I got every single playoff placement wrong, on top of only getting 2 of the 8 playoff contenders right.
