Apr 21 Deciding to give Ken Griffey the day off, the Cincinnati Reds used Pena in center field for Wednesday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The move payed off, as the outfielder went 2-for-4 and belted two home runs. He hit a solo homer to left-center in the fourth inning before connecting for a two-run shot in the seventh.
Advice: Pena has hit safely in five consecutive contests. For the season, he is batting .353 with five home runs and 10 RBI in just 34 at-bats. If he continues to produce those types of numbers, it will be hard to keep him out of the lineup. Pena will split time in right with Austin Kearns and will get the nod in center when Griffey needs a rest.

Seeing what the crappy Alex Gonzalez can do at 3B instead of seeing what BJ Upton can do @ SS or 2B (w/ Cantu or Lugo moving where needed) is the sort of short-minded goose turdery that makes me happy my team gets to whup up on these asshats 19 times a year.
