Hurlothrumbo (hurlothrumbo), Friday, 22 April 2005 11:30 (twenty years ago)

went to shea last sunday just in time to see THE STREAK end. a.j. burnett was dealing. it was ridiculous. not sure how hot the gun is at shea (i'm guessing it's on the warm side), but by that gauge burnett was throwing 100mph+ in the eighth.

it's good to see Doug Malphabet playing well.

rasheed wallace (rasheed wallace), Friday, 22 April 2005 12:05 (twenty years ago)

I was at that game too (see Mets thread).

Sorry Stenc, weather sounds pretty scary for tom'w. I'm off work today after celebrating Jesse Orosco's birthday last night...

Dr Morbius (Dr Morbius), Friday, 22 April 2005 17:25 (twenty years ago)

hstencil (hstencil), Friday, 22 April 2005 19:30 (twenty years ago)

my wife got a job in Boston -- I still take ye olde fung wah bus to NYC about every other week, though, so I'm hanging on in some ways.

I don't like to go to major league games anymore (unless someone else pays, like happened last summer when I got to catch a Mike Cameron home run ball!), but I'm gonna severely miss Cyclones and SI Yankees games -- minor leagues on public transit!!

I plan on catching the Pawsox a couple times this summer, for sure.

Hurlothrumbo (hurlothrumbo), Friday, 22 April 2005 20:16 (twenty years ago)

And maybe the Lowell Spinners, for old times' single-A sake.

two months pass...
Yesterday:

"Funny moment at the end of Randolph’s pregame media session when Pedro Martinez walked into the press conference room and said, “I’ve got a question. Are you going to finish it?”"
