He's falling apart like an old running back

I just heard about this on the radio! I'm kind of upset about it; moreso than I would have expected to be.

I'm really shocked at this. THis is crazy. I still have his rookies from all three sets. I just can't believe this.

Wow, judging by the lengthy ESPNews eulogies this morning that history of violence against women sure gets swept under the rug when you're "jolly." Barry Bonds better get to work on curing some diseases if he wants better obits than Jeff Dahmer.

Dr Morbius (Dr Morbius), Tuesday, 7 March 2006 14:10 (twenty years ago)

local news (here in chicago) reported that the 5'8" puckett was over 400 lbs. at the time of his death. he'd apparently suffered from episodes of dementia for some time as well. to hear his family and friends talk it almost sounded like they thought of his passing as a blessing as he had declined both physically and mentally over the past few years.

otto midnight (otto midnight), Tuesday, 7 March 2006 15:45 (twenty years ago)

I had no idea he was in such rough shape.

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Tuesday, 7 March 2006 16:37 (twenty years ago)

Apparently his brothers died before 50 as well and he had expected his end to come early.

(unconfirmed)

Don't be libellous, Dr. Morbs.
