As Shakespeare wrote in Twelfth Night, "Be not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some acheive greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them." Mark Lemke had all three.

Adding to my small collection of Pilots (Joe Schultz, Fred Talbot, Merritt Ranew), I'm now the proud sponsor of Mario Mendoza's page. ($15, instead of the standard $10 for guys with zero on-field accomplishments--such is the price of fame.)

Got an e-mail today that they're discontinuing sponsorships (a day after I forget to renew Steve Hovley). Lack of interest--current ones will linger. A few years of Joe Schultz was the best 60 or 70 dollars I ever spent.

When did they take off Pythagorean projections from a team's main page (and are they hidden somewhere I'm not looking)? I wanted to check the '68 Tigers.
