he's the mascot of my fantasy league. the dinosaur thing never fails to crack me up.

Many Turgid Corpses had him in the ILX fantasy league last year and never started him. We never heard from MTC again which is too bad because he was like a son to me.

it took me a sec to realize you were talking about the name of a team.

dyson (dyson), Wednesday, 3 March 2004 23:39 (twenty-two years ago)

search the "curly haired boyfriend" incident.

Chris 'The Big Ragu' V (Chris V), Thursday, 4 March 2004 15:16 (twenty-two years ago)

i know the "curly haired boyfriend" was dan shaughnessey, but to whom was king carl talking when he made that proclamation? i'd moved out of massachusetts by the time carl's reign was through.

dyson (dyson), Tuesday, 18 May 2004 21:50 (twenty-one years ago)

from the recap:

The Expos got outfielder Carl Everett back in the lineup -- another sign things might be turning around for the vagabond team, which is playing 22 of its ``home'' games in San Juan for the second straight year.

Everett, who missed 30 games with a shoulder injury he sustained the last time the Expos were in San Juan, went 1-for-3 and made a nice catch in left field, going to the ground to make the grab and keep Milwaukee from scoring with two on and two outs in the fifth.

gygax! (gygax!), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 01:13 (twenty-one years ago)

...then carl began digging a hole in the ground looking for dinosaur bones because he doesn't believe they existed.

Chris 'The Velvet Bingo' V (Chris V), Thursday, 20 May 2004 15:58 (twenty-one years ago)

three weeks pass...
Jun 13 The Associated Press reports Montreal Expos OF Carl Everett was ejected from the Saturday, June 12 game with the Seattle Mariners for arguing with umpire Charlie Reliford after Expos OF Brad Wilkerson was tossed.

bear in mind that's he on the 15 game DL.
