i want someone to try and adjust the stats of the yankees greats as if they played in the primes of their careers in the new yankee stadium. i think mantle would've finished with 900 career HRs.

Yankee Stadium of the 20s had roughly the same LH HR factor (thanks to a short porch if you could pull the ball down the RF line) vs. the overall HR factor this year. You'd need full year numbers broken down L/R to get that basic calculation done comparing year to year. (Actually, Yankee Stadium was short down both lines until the 70s.)

And if you wanted to get very specific, you'd have to find out where Ruth was hitting balls (ie, would the overall shorter distances and wind favor him, or was he just pulling balls down the line anyway?).

Good luck. Might as well calculate Ruth's HR total vs. integrated pitching too.
