phils bullpen bothers me but i'm going to pick them. i think their lineup is better, think they've been playing better in the playoffs & i think it's scary for the yankees that the phillies pounded burnett when these two played earlier this year

We know that if these games stay close and turn into bullpen battles (like 75% of the games in the playoffs this year), then the Phillies will lose. The Phillies will have to pound on the Yanks starters early, but their offense is up to the job and Pettitte and Burnett are hittable. Lee and Pedro will start twice, Hamels at least once. If Hamels stops sucking then I can see the Phillies winning four of those five starts.

Phillies in six, ARod hits ten homers but strikes out in the ninth inning of game six, gets blamed for everything.

even with a considerable financial advantage, the last 8 yankees seasons have taught us that a lot of things need to go right to actually win a championship.

tru. but one of the eight playoff teams in the playoffs has to win it, and the last 15 seasons have taught us that a lot of things need to go wrong for the team with the highest payroll to miss the postseason.

i don't know about all of jersey, but the philly parts of jersey (like Cherry Hill) are philly, not split loyalty. and the same with really NY places (like Hoboken). Maybe some parts are split tho.

definitely. my buddy chris is a boston guy 100%--like stereotype territory tbh, and he's a dolphins fan. because he went to one pats game as a kid when they sucked and had a miserable time. and he went home and realized that the dolphins played in warm weather and had dan marino and was like wtf am i doing?

ha i'm from NY state - was into baseball before football and rooted for the yanks along w/ my friends. my dad's from lancaster, PA and has always been an eagles fan (& pirates but he's much more into football) so this is where my eagles fandom came from
