AP says beck is out indefinitely due to "personal problems". it's no secret he hits the sauce pretty hard, i wonder if he's going to rehab.

Padres GM Kevin Towers said there's "zero" chance Rod Beck will be on the active roster on Opening Day.

Rod Beck gave Padres' GM Kevin Towers a positive report yesterday in their first talk since March 10 and, according to Towers, Beck will rejoin the club within 30 days.
"He's doing well," Towers said, declining to divulge details about Beck's absence from the club, which dates to March 8 and is being called "health-related," though not baseball-related. Beck is to begin throwing on Monday, leaving him 3-4 weeks to get ready.
