What's Atkins going to teach them?

The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Monday, 8 March 2010 21:44 (fifteen years ago)

i think i'm more curious about the lessons miguel tejada might teach them.

Astronaut Mike Dexter (Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved), Saturday, 20 March 2010 17:28 (fifteen years ago)

i am bummed out by the potential goodness of this team.

The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Saturday, 20 March 2010 17:43 (fifteen years ago)

oh how i used to read the O's threads with such an air of superiority. such cockiness, such folly.
this was once one of the few places a J's fan was safe from the natural feelings of inadequacy that, on occasion, surface with baseball message boards.
but no more, i fear.
are there, by chance, any royals fans on ilbb?

hipster puddy (J0rdan S.), Saturday, 27 March 2010 00:49 (fifteen years ago)

it's prob spanish for something, but i lol'd when i was looking at their spring training stats and saw L. Lebron

hipster puddy (J0rdan S.), Saturday, 27 March 2010 00:50 (fifteen years ago)

i could be wrong, but i think this guy used to be called luis noel, but changed the last name for some reason not related to being older under a bogus ID.

j.q higgins, Wednesday, 14 April 2010 02:54 (fifteen years ago)

fwiw, matusz has now pitched two straight games w/ 8k and no bb. millwood has allowed 1bb and struck out 20.

j.q higgins, Tuesday, 20 April 2010 10:38 (fifteen years ago)

as was just pointed out on fangraphs, after facing felix tonight their schedule goes:
3 vs BOS, 4 vs NYY, 3 vs BOS, 4 vs MIN

yeesh

ciderpress, Wednesday, 21 April 2010 17:23 (fifteen years ago)

err actually its even more NYY games than that

ciderpress, Wednesday, 21 April 2010 17:24 (fifteen years ago)

3 @ bos
3 vs nyy
3 vs bos

i expected this team to be doing better.

The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Wednesday, 21 April 2010 17:38 (fifteen years ago)

yeah i was expecting them to be better than the jays (and who knows, they still may be) but the entire offense is slumping

pie getting hurt was pretty sad, he was the only one having a nice start

ciderpress, Wednesday, 21 April 2010 17:45 (fifteen years ago)

i *was* expecting...

The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Wednesday, 21 April 2010 17:48 (fifteen years ago)

They won another game finally--7 to 6 over the Red Sox. Last night against the R. Sox was painful--they pulled Matusz with a 3 to 1 lead and by the time the bullpen was done with the inning they had given up two 3 run homers and were losing 7 to 3. The night before that 3 relief pitchers in a row walked people. Great job with that bullpen Orioles front office.

curmudgeon, Monday, 26 April 2010 04:21 (fifteen years ago)

that thing has been a nightmare for as long as i can remember.

i really hope they ride his hot streak as long as they can and his cooling off coincides w/ the resuscitation of reimold.

bloop single by gardner scores one vs o's because o's infield is in halfway w/ the bases loaded, 1-out in a 6-2 game. I know why they pulled the infield in vs gardner but I don't know "WHY" they did it...
