some other jerk you didn't mention = Longoria, amirite?

Cabrera had the best offensive season, but, irrational or not, I'm wedded to the idea that the MVP should come from a contending team, unless there's a compelling argument to be made against every plausible candidate from the contenders. (I think that's sort of what happened with the writers the year they gave it to Dawson, although, as James argued at length, it should have gone to Ozzie Smith instead.) So for me it comes down to Hamilton and Cano. If I had a vote, I'd go with Cano. It wasn't Hamilton's fault that he missed September, and I think Texas had a fairly safe lead when he went down. But that still would make me move my vote over to Cano--it would just feel wrong voting for a guy who missed September. (Longoria has the highest WAR on baseballreference.com...)

longoria put up an incredibly valuable season unless you care deeply about homers...which everyone does and he probably wont even end up in the top 10 in voting

I voted Longoria-Hamilton-Felix

chin-soo choo's 2009 and 2010 seasons are eerily identical

hope the dude doesn't have to lose several years of his prime to military service, indians are screwed enough already
