Mark G, you know I love you. But this whole thing leaves me entirely overwhelmed. I think it's great you're making use of the poll feature in new and exciting ways no one has dared to try, but I just can't...I can't freaking rank the VU albums. It just feels all wrong. I don't even want to admit to the ones I like least. And then, you see when you have VU and Another VU as choices...I told you I just can't do this. I can't do it. It'll break my heart.

today on a 'local' borad I look at this dude, a grown man, was trying to gee ppl up to go and see one of those screamo crunk bands or whatever they're called now purely to heckle them. I doubt anyone will bother but it was kind of lol because Grant Hart is playing literally ten feet away in another venue (this is tomorrow) and there will probably be like 30 people there

18. Lacan connects this case study to his schema of subjectivity: ... Is it the reality of objects that is at issue? Who normally speaks in reality, for us? Is it reality, exactly, when someone speaks to us? The point of the remarks I made to you last time on the other and the Other, the other with a small o and the Other with a big O, was to get you to notice that when the Other with a big O speaks it is not purely and simply the reality in front of you, namely the individual who is holding forth. The Other is beyond that reality. In true speech the Other is that before which you make yourself recognized. But you can make yourself recognized by it only because it is recognized first. (50-51)

The idea that human beings travel along a certain stream [time] and suggests boundaries in the path of choices and in free will.[4] The third line recommends that challenges should be greeted in stride while open to joy with a smile.[5] Some have questioned the song's implied necessity to row one's boat downstream. This may in fact be a commentary on the paradoxical nature of time's arrow with respect to man's free will in a universe of materialistic causality.[6] The final line, "life is but a dream", is perhaps the most meaningful. With a religious point of view, life and the physical plane may be regarded as having equivalent value as that of a dream, such that troubles are seen in the context of a lesser reality once one has awakened.[7]

The Precious Moments Chapel in Carthage, Missouri, is a theme park run by PMI. In January 2007, PMI announced the discontinuation of many of its attractions, including the "Fountain of Angels", due to "financial difficulties arising from diminished numbers of paid visitors resulting from higher gas prices and the general decline of the brand". Other closures include the "Wedding Island", "The "RV Park", "The Gallery", and "Souper Sam’s". In Spring 2007, "The Gallery" was remodeled, renamed "The Samuel J. Butcher Museum" and reopened.[8] The chapel, gift shop, and visitors' center continue to be open to the public

Finally watched this. Great fun, good cinematography, good soundtrack, etc. I couldn't really buy Franco's performance. He did a good job but it was just a bit too actor-y for me. The women did a way better job. I think I liked "Trash Humpers" more though.
