Meanwhile, a woman called Ashley tweeted: 'Benedict Cumberbatch used the word "colored" to describe black people in the year 2015, um, are we still using that word?'

And Chelsea Nicole said: 'I never liked Cumberbatch and him calling people "colored" seals the deal.'

Thousands have blasted the "sick" user who dreamt up the "cheap prank".

Joe Beck slammed the prankster, who refers to themselves as CarlRoney on the popular social website – branding him or her as a "sick inhumane person".

Beck wrote: "You sick inhumane person - think about the parents having to see their missing child banded about on the internet coz your bored" (sic)

Another user agreed, tweeting: "she a missing girl have some respect and grow up u" (sic)

"He's going to hell," one user commented.

One witness, Siobhan Slattery, tweeted: 'Thoughts are with the lady currently stuck under a billboard in Tooting- fell 15/20ft onto her. Awful.'

One appalled local, venting his fury on Twitter, said: 'Call me a savage but these two lads would be better six feet under.'

Another added: 'I wish them the worst life can give them. I don't care whether that sounds radical or not.'

Appalled Yuji Yamagishi wrote under a video posted on YouTube of the sick stunt: 'I would put the fat one on the floor and stuff the 72 piglets he's killed into his mouth.'

The former striker tweeted: 'Don't know which is worse on a flight, a kid that cries the whole way of (sic) a fella that drops his guts none stop.'

Owen later deleted the post and tweeted: 'Just landed from China and catching up with the news. Finally and way, way, way overdue, the truth prevails and justice is served. #JFT96'.

However, followers of the former England international were not impressed by the timing of Owen's tweet.

One Twitter user said: 'Should have been on your mind all flight. You knew the verdict was coming before you took off. I'm embarrassed for you.'

Another added: 'Too little too late mate. You knew what day this was and it should have been the first thing you looked at. Shame on you.'

Others referred to his new role working with the Anfield club and the responsibilities it brings. One Twitter used said: 'Honestly did your agent or a club rep not remind you about today? Shouldn't it have been top of your agenda as ambassador?'
