Bushy and Richmond

It appears $500,000 may not be enough. Bushy has apparently been offered $600,000 to play for Richmond. I don't know, I think once you salary is over $100,000 you should be looking at loyalty a little more. How much money can one person spend!

Lucy my spies tell me (and they sure could be wrong) the Lion's offer was not that much.

They offered $300K over two years and Richmond are prepared to pay $500K over the same time.

It would be a pity to loose him but that's what the salary cap is all about. If not for the fact that others are prepared to take less than market value to stay with this side we would loose a lot more I'm sure.

Big Bird, I read in one of the papers (could have been the Courier Mail) that it was $500k versus $600k.

Guess we will only find out when the deal is done.

Bushy was just being smart, had a weeks holiday at Richmond's expense then came home. Onya Bushy!

Richmond? A team of battlers? What an insult.

Richmond are one of the Victorian Big Four. They are the Quiet Achievers of the AFL. They even have Blockbuster status. On the rare occasions that one of their dedicated, hard-working, almost silent and invisible club officials makes a public utterance, the AFL meekly asks, 'how high?' If Richmond say they want a high-profile player from another club, the other club immediately calls in the sign-writers to finish painting his stats on his locker.

It really is about time the rest of the AFL started showing Richmond some Respect.

"They are the Quiet Achievers of the AFL"

So quiet sometimes you don't even know they are there!

Of course the one principle that Richmond hold to more than any other is that they would never, ever look for scapegoats, or blame their own supporters' lack of commitment, when things start going badly.
