To quote Pete Seeger, 'When will they ever learn?'

But am I the only one starting to get bored with this sort of story? Nobody was raped or bashed, so basically so what? A couple of blokes had a couple of drinks too many and made dickheads of themselves. On any community scale it barely moves the dial.

"Nobody was raped or bashed..."

At least not that we know of, given what has recently happened in different codes, why would any woman come forward an lay claims if the outcome was always going to end up being inconclusive, or "not enough evidence to get a conviction.

Law is certainly not about justice!

And before you say it, I am not accusing anyone just stating facts about how difficult it is to get a conviction.

Lucy, if the story i was told about those 2 incidents, is true, then those type of woman coming forward have very little chance of gaining a conviction, you cant say yes one night and then decide you dont like it the next.

Not that im condoning it in any way shape or form

'you cant say yes one night and then decide you dont like it the next.'

My own bloody fault for deleting it, but I was going to cut and paste your comment a couple of days ago about how 'you never go to bed with anybody who's ugly but wake up next to stacks of them', and do the old compare and contrast.

"Nobody was raped or bashed..."

Thanks only to Coughlan's "serious pubic injury"

"'you cant say yes one night and then decide you dont like it the next.'"

Actually you can jsa, while you may be happy to tonight you may choose not to tomorrow - it is then rape. But I'll not be commenting anymore on this.

agreed lucy, but you look pretty stupid in a court, when u stand up and say yes i took on 6 on the saturday night and then got the shites on because it was only 5 on sunday night.

Whether its right or wrong the publics perception is that this particular person has no credibility and hence the cases are dropped.

PS im more talking of the bulldogs case.

I still reckon Milne should have gone to the big house, if only for being an annoying small forward who plays for free kicks and falls over far too often.

(And preferably before this weekends match) :)

LOL@Benno. I wonder if Darth Vader has thought of that :)
