ST KILDA - the MOTM amassed 48 points two weeks ago and 49 last week. 50 is about OTM for tomorrow but the ex-mullet and Bottle Boy may score that many each
ESS - it would take a Sheedy to lose this one
SYD - toss the coin
HAW - playing for the Cactus Cup
GEEL - of course
PORT - because they have to
BRIS - see Port

St Kilda - Adelaide can't score enough goals to cover Riewoldt and G Train.
Essendon - Carlton are gone.
Sydney - Roos record against the Swannies is awful.
Hawks - I reckon it was a case of Hawthorn finding something rather than any Demon let down last week. Vandenburg's return a key.
West Coast - Charman out for the year. Cox will do well on McLaren. Lynch out, Brown out. West Coast to stay alive for another week.
Geelong - Geelong's success is built around the same quality that has been lacking in Richmond of late, hard work. Last time they had Ottens and we didn't have King, this time it's the other way around. Richo's back but Stafford is out.
Melbourne - Are a bit of a bogey side for Port. Wanganeen will be underdone and they'll miss Choppy and Carr. Now Port have to cope without Brogan as well, this'll mean Lade will probably have to take the ruck leaving Tredrea to play a lone hand up forward. Melbourne look more settled.
regards,
REB

And before you start Westener, yes West Coast played extremely well, and yes West Coast deserved the win etc etc.
Roll on Hawthorn, and welcome back Jonathan Brown and hopefully Lynch and hopefully the Scott brothers.

When you've played in the finals every year since 97 and have only missed the finals 5 times in 24 years it's hard not to rate yourself. Why wouldn't you rate yourself? I think the fact we don't trawel the depths of the bottom of the ladder and pick up the prime draft picks counts against us. Melbourne, Geelong, St Kilda are now enjoying the fruits of being shithouse. It's a pity Carlton won't get the same benefits of being so useless the last couple of years. Eh, Fred.

Read Connolly's article yesterday, and remember he's one of yours.
Since 2001 the 'greatest ever' Essendoomed side has a 50% record against the worst ever Carlton team. Complacent? Never!!! Something to stew on for the next five years: In three of the last four decades, the team that won the flag in the 0 year won the spoon in the 9 year. Or maybe you won't have to wait quite that long.

Was it you who was talking about Keno?

The similarities with Carlton circa 2001 continue.
Anyway finishing last wasn't exactly the end of the world for Collingwood and it doesn't look like that for Carlton either, draft picks or no. It would be character-building, and would wake up those that need it.
Re Sheedy: either he really is God after all, or he has a use-by date.

The sour grapes coming from some folk out at Whiney hill will make for a bitter Essendon vintage of 2004.

When was the last time the Cats won a flag? Sour grapes?Lol. We have nothing to be sour about, champ. We have played in the finals every year since 97. If I was sour about that then I would be pretty ungrateful, I'm very happy with our wonderful record. Even with us playing our worst season for many years we will still make the 8. Wouldn't the Cats love a record like that.

Jeez, you Essendon supporters don't know much about football. There are 15 other teams in the comp you know :)
