Forgive me lord for I have sinned, I am about to make a prediction on the 2004 season even thought footy doesn't start for friggin MONTHS.

I reckon the Demons are a fair bet for the spoon this year. Luckily for me they have no supporters or my life could be in danger from such a premature prophecy.

So who do you lot reckon will end up with this most undesirable kitchen implement next season?

I forgot about Richmond they still have sulky Richo playing dont they. Maybe the newly acquired Shane Morrison will do Richo out of a spot in the side.

Therefore it may be a four way tie, add Richmond to my original list in fact they will probably do worse than the Bombers.

The team that would benefit most from a wooden spoon (or even a couple) from the character building viewpoint is Richmond, and they won't be far off. But Melbourne are an even bigger shambles ATM.

Ain't it a real hoot that Fremantle don't get tipped for the spoon next year. Nobody has rated them at all.

Any theories there about preferential treatment, concessions, etc. I was of the opinion that the Dockers were only making up the numbers in this competition. Or that seems to be the sentiments over recent times.

Freo showed plenty of ticker in 03, and with the Croad situation fixed up, will be a better "team" for it.
