Apparently there is a Grand Final on tomorrow.

Is anyone gonna bother watching it?

Of course...Geelong can't lose.

I don't think I have ever been more disinterested in a grannie in all my life. I really could not give a toss. I hope Port win, though, as I think they are the lesser of the two evils, at least they are operating on the same playing field as the rest of us. I know I keep going on about it, but I really feel strongly about the advantages the Lions get. It is the only reason they are there IMO.

Yes. Sorry if the pond's getting a bit big for you these days.

Cripes what about the 1999 and 2000 Grand Finals? Non-events the pair of em. At least this one should be a good game of football...you know, the sport that we are all fans of.

Got absolutely nothing to do with what I'm talking about.

You're kidding, the Lions will smash 'em. Over by half time.

chrisso (chrisso), Friday, 24 September 2004 01:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I hope you're right Chrisso. What I meant to say is that it promises to be a good game of football (But then again that's what they said about 1995!). The reality could turn out quite different as you say.

I don't think the Power will get flogged..Brisbane couldn't smash the Cats and the Power actually has a couple of forwards.

And another one who got it wrong!

'Is anyone gonna bother watching it?'

A few. It rated through the roof and filled the MCG.

Well not quite Fred only just over 77,000. Nearly 200 MCC members didn't bother to turn up and didn't bother to release their seats so many Lions and Port fans stood outside because they couldn't get a seat.

Still, more than enough showed an interest to make a joke of the comment at the top of this thread.

Wonder if chrisso organised that?
