This from the AFL Website I notice they've got nothing there about bagging them when they get it wrong or penalties for the Tribunal when they make crap decisions.

Australian Football League
Early this year, the AFL commenced a review of its tribunal and reporting system.

Key topics under review include the following:

* The offer of a penalty to a player prior to the tribunal hearing
* The reporting process
* Tribunal composition and the role of former players
* Player evidence
* Player representation
* The Appeals System
* Melees
* Public Comment

Members of the public are invited to make submissions of up to 500 words on any aspect of this current discussion and forward them to internet@afl.com.au

Nobody asks anything of the Tribunal other than consistency.

Punch someone - get 1 week, 2 weeks, whatever.

Engage in rough play - 1 week, 2 weeks.

Consistency in the penalty and consistency in the interpretation of the report.

Trade offs and offers are bullshit.

It is coming to pass when players of the kind of Jack Dyer and Ted Whitten(the enforcers) are going again to be very much sought after in a team.

When the likes of players with the skill of Simon Black are reported for striking, we can figure that something must be wrong with the interpretation of the rules by the Umpires.

I remember the Eagles( and I remember it because I follow them and watched the game) playing St Kilda last year. Steven Baker followed Chris Judd all over the field and played a negating role. Problem was, very seldom did Baker play in the game. Continuously, he had his back to the ball ups and general play and physically restrained Judd from having a run at the play and ball.

Pretty soon the enforcers are going to start to "clean" up the Steven Bakers', the Kane Cornes' and Josh Carrs'

The Umpires need to put a stop to these tactics and allow the ball players to play.

Penalties should be handed out to any player not focussing on the ball.

There are lots of other types of tactics that are somewhat dubious and need to be addressed in order to make the game better but the big one is getting consistency into the Tribunal System.

Enough already!!!

I think the AFL should have a look at what League is doing with the grading system, sure, there are still the odd eyebrow raisers, but not half as much as in the AFL.

Harsh on cornes, id suggest he's a tagger that doesnt necessarily resort to the rough stuff, he beats his opponent on merit using his fitness. Prolly next year he will be tagged
