Brad Ottens will become a Cat with Geelong trading draft picks and allowing Brent Maloney to cross to Melbourne. Sorry to see Maloney go but we've got plenty of midfield hard nuts and not so many forwards/ruckmen about the place.

A good deal for the Cats, so long as Ottens pulls his finger out and plays to his potential. Otherwise, just another useless tall that ended up at Geelong doing nothing (wasn't the last one Grgic?)

Got it in one Benjamin. Still smarting over giving up Bizzell for Grgic. It sounded crap from the first day I heard it..what were they thinking?

The real value of Ottens is that he either gets a second string defender or that option is shifted on to Kingsley or Graham. Having three talls with blokes like Johnsons, Chapman and Ablett crumbing suddenly makes us a lot more potent up front. Also Otto is a geniuine second rucking option (unlike Loats who probably was the last useless tall to do nothing at Geelong but hopefully he can be a viable number three ruck option).

Looking forward to next year already but Cats...no more players to leave the Cattery please..just get some more kids instead.
