Internaionally, perhaps the AFL should be looking at developing a world cup of Australian Rules on Australian grounds every four years. You could stage the world cup final at the G or Telstra Stadium in a day/night event as a curtain raiser for an AFL match for premiership points.
If the opportunity of playing at an Australian venue in front of a big crowd can't inspire international football, perhaps nothing will.
