We were embarrased on the scoreboard this time, last year we were embarrased by that cheap sniper Brad Scott. I'd rather we were embarrased on the scoreboard than have our good name sullied by a Lion thug.

17 players where unavailable for this series. This concept is as dead as a dodo. It's time for the extended season with an even draw.

Internaionally, perhaps the AFL should be looking at developing a world cup of Australian Rules on Australian grounds every four years. You could stage the world cup final at the G or Telstra Stadium in a day/night event as a curtain raiser for an AFL match for premiership points.

If the opportunity of playing at an Australian venue in front of a big crowd can't inspire international football, perhaps nothing will.
