The fact that he was an AFL footballer does not make his death any more tragic than any other of the many tens of thousands so far, but it does ram home the message even harder that none are unaffected when something like this happens. In a strange way, for me he kind of represents the all other casualties.
All Melbourne and Adelaide (his home town) are thinking of him, and his wife of 8 days, and his family and friends at the club and elsewhere.
The Asia v World cricket match on Monday will be played at the place where he played most of his football. RIP 'Broady'.

Agree Fred, this is very tragic. The fact he was in Bali last year when the bombs went off makes me think the last 12 months have been a gift for him. I guess when your numbers up - not a lot you can do about it!
