The Harvey brothers are reunited at the Roos, and is Doug Scott Don's little lad?

Scotland's exactly the kind of midfielder your old mate Osama bin Stevens (supposedly) isn't. If you hadn't been laughing quite so loud. you might have got more than diddly-squat back for him. So we have Port to thank for getting both of them for next to sod all.

Dragacevich (pick 20) must have just sneaked under the age limit. Notice WC nabbed Andy Embley's kid brother. Ben Clifton (Haw) is the son of radio racing commentator Terry Clifton. Be interesting to see if Josh Thurgood (Haw) is a descendant of the Essendon legend from the very early days, Albert.
Melbourne drafted Paul Newman. Oh well, at least with that name they'll have one bloke who can act like a footballer CONVINCINGLY.

Bottom line is nick stevens got screwed, he wanted collingwood, they decided he's not worth 500K, so they offered rubbish, the same rubbish that carlton pounced upon. you copped an outside player whose heart is with the arch enemy for 2 mill. So if your happy for him to compete 1 quarter and think you got more than port, then id suggest your join john elliott as his asset manager.

Port tried to act tough and forgot they weren't dealing with Sturt and Centrals any more. Port can pat themselves on the back for screwing Stevens all they like but they screwed themselves good and proper at the same time.

we lost a player we were overly concerned at losing and a player that wanted to leave, weve freed up salary cap, sure we got nothing in return, but nothing sometimes is better than the crap offered.
facts and figures (he was on 350 at the power and ive yet to see a player leave for less than what he was getting, at least not in the modern era) would suggest fred, that he was after 500K per year and seeing as he was quite willing to cross to carlton that he might have received what he wanted, thats how it works fred, you ask for something if its not given then you try somewhere else until you find the inept poorly run club that is desperate to increase its playing stocks so it pays well over the market rate for something, that in the long run leads to unrest in the organisation because the bloke getting paid the big bucks is the game breaker that similiar players are who are on the same money.
Anyway you seem happy with what youve got, might be interesting to revisit the winners and loser of the n stevens affair at some point in the future, perhaps after a few of the home carlton games when you and your fellow supporters realise that he's not worth it
