Who will replace the old man?

I'm very excited about the prospect of seeing some of the new guys coming into the side. Also excited about the prospect of seeing Crackers or Emu playing full forward.

Surprisingly the unknown factors will make footy even more interesting for me this season. If we happen to win a few on the way even better.

Lethal should down to the local gym and find another 36 year old roid munching thug to replace the retired one...

:)

Not possible they are already playing for Collingwood! Nice to hear from again Benno - hope your New Year was fine!

Easy Benno. 'Roid muncher' is a bit borderline.

Sorry - league sanctioned steroid user.

Is that better?

Not much. There's steroids (as in Ben Johnson, which is the emotional hook here) and there's steroids. And more to the point, there's also tabloids, and I think a lot of people had too big a fix on them when they whinge and moralise about this case. My 4 year old nephew is on roids as part of his treatment for Crohns disease. They haven't (so far) turned him into a moron or a psychopath.

Lynch never tested positive, he only took the stuff on misinformation from the AFL (yes Radar, that can happen and surprisingly often does) who then proceeded to try to nail him to cover their own ass (see above). He stopped taking them as soon as the AFL corrected their clerical error. End Of Story. But if you needed to have something 'on' him that badly, I suppose for years that has had to do, up until his last game anyway.

Good take , Fred.

Recently I was suffering from a skin condition and, not being the type that goes to see a doctor often, was suprised to be subscribed a steroid as part of the treatment. Upon question, the doctor informed me that steroids are powerful anti-inflammatory drugs and are very valuable in the treatment of a number of conditions.

My impression was that I would grow tits and speak with a squeaky voice( a bit similar to the removal of a couple of items of male paraphernalia).

Just goes to show that the hype surrounding a drug can get out of hand so easily.

My impression of Lynch is that he was a top player prior to his illness and the drugs allowed him to play, not to perform. If you get what I mean.

Remind me not to let you set me up with any of your ex-girlfriends Westy ha ha :)
