Must say Port deserved the win (that's sticks in my throat!) but their skill levels were better. But I'm not at all upset as I am so proud of the way our new recruits played and played and played. To think they could come back from 40 points down what a side.
Daniel Merrett in the ruck was great - watch out Primearse he beat you.
I think Dylan McLaren should be moved forward to kick goals and Merrett should take over as second ruck to Jamie Charman. Crackers is a very hand full forward I think - McLaren could back him.
Very impressed with Jed Adcock and Troy Sellwood (again). Tom Logan did pretty good as well.
JSA you've got a definitely winner in Shattock - always liked him as a player in Brisbane very sorry to see him go but glad he's getting lots of game time and playing so well.

Overall outside of teh last 10 minutes, port were sensational, to think of all the hard nuts we had out we were still able to match it with the hardest side in the comp was great.
I think primus wound back the clock a few years, looked sensational and francou is on his way back,
Found a couple of players in shattock, walsh and pettigrew and white.
Ill declare them now, Port are certainties to win the flag, get on at $4.50

I wouldn't be calling them certaities when you think that the Lions have Brown and Black to come back, and that Lappin is at about half-pace.

For all of you non SA fans..this is why Port are hated over there. They are just like Collingwood, only successful. And Jase is more moderate than most Port fans as well.

your a strange bloke, when we lose we choke?? how does that work?
Id suggest getting beaten by a full strength dockers team, when you have 4 or 5 out and 4 injured on the night and playing away is far from a choke.
You need to remove that chip on your shoulders and face facts the power are the champion team, outside of round 1, have smashed your soft WA sides almost at will. Its hard to take someone serious who actually rates the crows
As for the flag prediction, playing and beating a side which physically intimidated and smashed st kilda, when you have most of your hard blokes out or underdone, qualifies as a huge win and with last years confidence i cant see a side that will stop us.

The "choke" is not referred to, or inferred, Vs Freo.
I said that Port have not entirely lost their choker tag and it means just that. Remember that one swallow(flag) does not a certanty make.
