Getting in early - think I'll be busy tomorrow.

Carlton v Hawthorn (TD)- Hawthorn (methinks Fevola is having a holiday)
Adelaide v Kangaroos (Aami) - Adelaide (Kangaroos have to travel)
Melbourne v Fremantle (MCG) - Melbourne (Freo still to prove themselves away from Subi)
West Coast v Sydney (Subi) - West Coast (too good)
Essendon v Brisbane (TD) - Brisbane (could be the won!)
Geelong v Bulldogs (Skilled) - Geelong (Skilled stadium the difference)
Collingwood v St Kilda (MCG) - St Kilda but I wouldn't be surprised if Collingwood win
Richmond v Port Adelaide (TD) - Richmond (this should ensure a Port win cause Richmond always stuff up when I tip them)

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Wednesday, 27 April 2005 06:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Carlton by 10pts: The return of the thing
Crows by 11pts: Kangaroos jacked
Melbourne by 41pts: Flounder and disaster - far side of the country
Egirls by 50pts: Lamer vs Lamer
Brisbane by 15pts: The ten suspendments
Cats by 19 pts: Hot cat on a new tin roof
St Kilda by 83pts: Natural born Pie killers
Port by 24pts: Star bores

Skilled stadium could be the diffence: Dogs have won last 5 at skilled
Wouldn't be surprised if Collingwood win: I bloody would be. Saints will cream them!!

Toughie of the round is Brisbane vs Essendon, who knows who is going to win that..and if you do, please tell me!

Monty of the round is the Saints and Melbourne, Freo are shite in Vicland.

thas all folks.

Carlton v Hawthorn (TD)- Hawthorn, because stevens is a grub. Watch out hawks the eye gougers are coming

Adelaide v Kangaroos (Aami) - Adelaide to give the kangas the first of 2 floggings. Oh didums kangas you have to travel 2 weeks in a row, give us a spell laidley you big sook.

Melbourne v Fremantle (MCG) - Melbourne, as freo are clearly the worst interstate side and have been for the last 8 years, they are the laughing stock of the afl.
West Coast v Sydney (Subi) - West coast because its at home
Essendon v Brisbane (TD) - Brissy, because although the bombers won they were ordinary last week
Geelong v Bulldogs (Skilled) - Geelong, because they beat the eventual premiers last week
Collingwood v St Kilda (MCG) - St Kilda by close to 15 goals unless they get disinterested then it will be a 10 goal victory
Richmond v Port Adelaide (TD) - Power easily, this win plus next week and they will be back in the 8

"Oh didums kangas you have to travel 2 weeks in a row, give us a spell laidley you big sook."

LMAO. Eventual premiers last four at Girlee stadium with one win against the currently ranked 16th side. Keep the laffs coming Jase :)

Nothing to worry bout reb, once we get a couple back we will be away, the game against your mob was ok, we are moving forward, and lets be honest outside of geelong st kilda and possibly melbourne, theres not much to worry about on the current 8.

jsa, Thursday, 28 April 2005 02:29 (twenty-one years ago)

You should see Dunstall's column in the Courier Mail, it's a joke. He sits on the fence so hard he has splinters up his R's.

Preseason it was 'the top four to stay the same' and 'beware brisbane' and todays column is all about the Power and Lions missing the eight but by the end of his speil he backs right off and says 'maybe one will make it and maybe one won't'.

Port for the top four and the Lions to sneak into the eight for mine.

At the present jase, there is no other way you can go. So improvement is really all you can do. I watched some of the game last week and PP were abysmal. If they continue in this manner they should match your assessment of Freo.

Now for something completely different......

Dawks.
Melbourne. Even though they're gorn.
Roos. Tipped against them 3 times this year. Been burnt enough.
Lions. How could you go any other way.
Eagles. Training drill.
Doggies. Suprise of the round.
Saints. Eddie to approach AFL not to abandon priority picks this year.
Port. Movin' forward.

Westener (Westener), Thursday, 28 April 2005 12:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Hawks to flog the Blues,
Dees to get over Dockers,
Crows to beat Kangas,
Lions too good for Bombers,
Eagles over Swans,
Cats over Doggies,
Saints easily against the Maggies, and
Port over Tigers.

Hawka (hawka), Thursday, 28 April 2005 20:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Port abysmal last week Westy? I don't think they are that far away and will finish well clear of F*ckedmantle by the end of the year. I don't like the Power but I still rate em...for one more year at least :)

You should see Dunstall's column in the Courier Mail, it's a joke.

Check this little gemm from Garry Lyon. Surely it's a piss take? Taking 'journalism' to new depths.

Speaking of 'journalism', Fred what have you done to Patrick Smith, he's dissapeared! Lol.

chrisso (chrisso), Thursday, 28 April 2005 22:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't like the Power but I still rate em.

Ditto.

Port will play in a prelim final, Freo will be watching them.

chrisso (chrisso), Thursday, 28 April 2005 22:24 (twenty-one years ago)

At some point, Port and the Lions will come good.

Do you reckon Port realise how good Carr and James were? What is James prospects of getting back this year?

Lions will come good with J Brown up forward, and Bradshaw taking the 2nd best defender.

Malthouse has made a correct decision dropping WoeWoeful - he's lost all confidence, and needs to find some quick, otherwise he could be doing the Cupido in the Willie 2's. Fraser won't play this week.
And naming 3 Clokes? What the? Surely its a one off until Jason goes back to Willie for the rest of the season.

Bennö (Bennö), Thursday, 28 April 2005 23:38 (twenty-one years ago)

CARL - bad move by Clarkson with Roughhead By Name axed (replaced by Roughhead By Nature), and Franklin also damned to a week in the seconds. Such defensive selection must give Carlton confidence. Waite may well succeed better than his predecessor at FF

MELB - Freo are mediocre at home and worse away

ROOS - still sneaking under everybody's guard. Venue holds very few horrors (except in the crowd of course)

DONS - my entry for the Brown Sweep: Fletcher, 24 min mark 1st quarter

EAGLES - and for everybody's sake (including the opposition) let's hope they improve on Sunday's margin and consign the Sydney 'style' to the office shredder once and for all

CATS - running into form at last. Dogs will push hard but fall short

SAINTS - by about three goals per Cloke

PORT - surely to God the Cleti can't possibly blow this, or even Jase will start considering other teams may have an outside shot at the flag

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Friday, 29 April 2005 00:29 (twenty-one years ago)

GOLD Frederick....especially that Clokes line.

Yeah westy it was an absymal game, were you watching the right channel?? and no matter how crap we are we will never be as shite as freo, how long in the comp, how many finals games, any premierships??? how many crap trades, wasnt it mcleod for chris groom??? How many duds on 500K a year, please westy dont embarrass yourself trying to compare chocolates with boiled crap.

Yes benno we certainly realise how important both are, but the most important is james, he would have to be the most underated player in the AFL, in my eyes hes one of the best 10 midfielders. In and unders are hard to replace.

jsa, Saturday, 30 April 2005 23:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Que? jase.

And at what time of the day did you write that diatribe???

I'll bet it was this morning before the PA/Tiges game.
