Tim Notting blitzing Pre-Season

Well with so few days left before the 2004 season starts I imagine this forum will start to speed up a little.

Hope you all had a safe and happy New Year - 'cause Lucy's back with more Lions stories....!

Tim Notting who missed out on the GF last year has been a stand out at pre-season training and Craig Starcevich has listed him as a Gold Star standout along with Richard Hadley and Joel MacDonald.

Bring on the Footy

OK so Notts, the Kiwi and Macca get the Gold Stars. Have they decided who gets the Holy Pictures yet?

Fred the Holy Pictures will obviously go to the team when we take the 2004 Premiership Cup home! lol

'so few days left before the 2004 season starts....'

Try 78 days. With another Test cricket series, the Australian Grand Prix, and the Aus Open tennis all to be knocked over in the meantime.

Oh, and (I'm told) also the World Darts Championship, which will also cause the same size blip on the sporting radar as the Whateverthef...theyaretheycallingitthisyear Cup with its half-ass Mickey Mouse rules.

We've got about 76 days to go before we need worry about the AFL.

The words 'sporting event' and 'Australian grand prix' should never be mentioned in the same sentence (er, not that you did Frederick btw).

How much is the Shoe going to win the championship by this year? Will anyone from outside Melbourne actually show up at such a shocking no frills track? Can anyone suffering under the Howard dictatorship actually afford the seven dollars for a beer? How many times will the great unwashed pay to see Mark Webber gallantly finish 7th or 8th? All these questions and more will be answered by the rare few that GAF.

Bring on the footy. Grand Prix, pffft. Rich man's wankathon.

regards,

REB
