Lucy's confidence is down this week, but here we go....

Collingwood vs Geelong - Geelong to put Collingwood back at the bottom of the table - just were Malthouse and Maguire belong
Carlton vs Sydney - The Swannies will rally under Barry Hall's captaincy and flog Carlton
Richmond vs West Coast - West Coast not matter what Wallace says the effect of losing Nathan Brown is bound to hurt the Tigers
Fremantle vs Brisbane - I almost went for Fremantle here (talk about depressed) but it's OK Blacky reckon's we've got a chance so it must be true - Brisbane to win
Adelaide vs Essendon - Adelaide at home
St Kilda vs Port Adelaide - touch and go if Roger James is back Port have a chance but I think St Kilda will win just.
Kangaroos vs Melbourne -Kangaroos
Bulldogs vs Hawthorn - Hawthorn

from the rd 10 thread

Bennö's Round 11 Tips
Collingwood vs Geelong - Geelong to bounce back, Scarlett and Harley to stop Trav Cloke (gun) and Tarrant
Richmond vs West Coast - West Coast, Tigers were beaten before Browns season snapped. Judd to find form again...
Carlton vs Swans - Scrappy is the only guarentee. Carlton by a fat Lance goal.
Freo vs Bris-vegas - Brisbane. Freo harder to pick than a broken nose
Adelaide vs Bombers - Sadelaide in a match as scrappy as the Blues/Swans debacle earlier. How are Adelaide in the 8???
Saints vs Port - Port are 1 hit wonders, Saints be enough
Roos vs D's - despite 9000 free tickets, the Roos might get a full house but the D's will smash them on a sunny winters day
Bulldogs vs Hawks - The Darcy disaster is starting to bite, Hawks by not many points but 100 possessions more

Bennö (Bennö), Wednesday, 1 June 2005 08:36 (twenty years ago)

Catters by 25: Sheesh, I hope
West Coast: Unfortnuately
Swans: Never tipping the Blues again
Freo: Anyone who can beat Geelong must be good :)
Essendon: Getting on a mini roll and still not convinced about the Cows.
Saints: Port gone
Melbourne: Kangas only beat bunnies (St Kilda excepted)
Bulldogs: In a shootout

REB

Bennö's Round 11 Tips
Collingwood vs Geelong - Geelong in a close one, hopefully a unwarranted freekick after the siren that is clearly a point and given a goal for a 1 pt win, just to hear eddies voice
Richmond vs West Coast - Richmond to get up for this game and show they arent a one man team, then lose the next 10 confirming they are a one man team.
Carlton vs Swans - Swans to bound back after super-coach and player walls slags them. Complete grub that bloke
Freo vs Bris-vegas - Who knows, depends which softmantle teams shows up, then again brisbane only can win away, ill go for softmantle.
Adelaide vs Bombers - Adelaide maybe only becuase Essendon has a crap travelling record
Saints vs Port - Power to show so guts and hardness and beat the saints and bounce back into the finals race.
Roos vs D's - Dees are like softmantle depends which one shows up, maybe roos based on there record in canberra
Bulldogs vs Hawks - may break records for total possessions this game, bulldogs in a close one

Geelong. The wobblies luck will come to an end.
West Coast Eagles over the Tiges comfortably.
Sydney Swans over the Blues
Fremantle over the Lions. Will not pick the Lions until the real team turns up for at least two weeks in a row.
Adelaide over Essendon only because it is as Footy Park
St Kilda over Port by 468pts. Same deal as Lions.
Kangaroos to win against Melbourne in a 50-50 call.
Hawks to jump the dogs early with 350 possessions in the first quarter to kick away to a two goal lead and hold it all night.

Hawka (hawka), Thursday, 2 June 2005 04:35 (twenty years ago)

GEELONG (32) - or they'll become the 17th team that (according to the media) can't possibly win the 2005 flag

WEST COAST - although the Jase scenario is very likely

SYDNEY - Thanks again Wallsy. An upset might bring on the beginning of the end (or maybe the beginning of the middle of the end) for your old protege Paul Roos

FREO - a nightmare match

HAWTHORN - toss the coin. Everett will turn Minson to Minsemeat

ESSENDON - regaining players and momentum. Adelaide did nothing much and beat nothing much on Sunday and McLeod has had his night out for the season

ST KILDA - Port will improve but the form and class gap is too great to make up in one week

MELBOURNE - their best has been slightly better for slightly longer

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Thursday, 2 June 2005 04:45 (twenty years ago)

Geelong - couldn't possibly beat the Pies by 10 goals - 58 points
Eagles - just warming up
Swans - let me down last week but too good for blues
Dockers - to show some consistency for two in a row
Adelaide - far too good for Dons
Saints - Port to improve and lose by 80
Roos - I'll get them right yet
Dawks - to bounce back.

Westener (Westener), Thursday, 2 June 2005 11:35 (twenty years ago)

jsa - are you trying to masquarade as me???

Bennö (Bennö), Friday, 3 June 2005 01:14 (twenty years ago)

"Saints - Port to improve and lose by 80"

Yep that's a good one - well done Westy

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Friday, 3 June 2005 06:06 (twenty years ago)

Dockers - to show some consistency for two in a row

Thats the best one westy, funny how great the dockers are, and how crap port have been and there is 1/2 a game difference, go softmantle, some things never change

jsa, Sunday, 5 June 2005 22:24 (twenty years ago)

Geelong won't win the Flag with the forward line they have and a captain who lacks heart and is so out of form. Ling is also a worry, his disposal was shocking on Friday night.

Bye-bye Catters.

chrisso (chrisso), Monday, 6 June 2005 00:35 (twenty years ago)

Chrisso,

i wouldnt be saying anything negative about anybody today, your mob was pretty pathetic and more trouble to come over in the west. No wonder vic teams dont like to travel.

jsa, Monday, 6 June 2005 02:29 (twenty years ago)

I can guarentee that Collingwood won't win another game this year - I tipped them for this Monday for the first time in a month...

Bennö (Bennö), Monday, 6 June 2005 03:46 (twenty years ago)

I very happy to report (in case anyone missed it) my Lions had a big win in the West. Few are far between, are out wins at Subiaco (how Yoda does that sound!)

Glad to hear Leigh Matthews talk about the Lions of old not being back but the future of the new Lions. That's what I've been trying to explain to people for ages - it's a different side.

Hey JSA I hear Shattock has been offered 3 weeks for his bump. That's unfortunate I think Shats is a good player always enjoyed watching him play. Will Port appeal?

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Monday, 6 June 2005 06:38 (twenty years ago)

Port are defintely not appealling ha ha. Benno, you could have picked the Pies LAST week DOH.

regards,

REB
