Oh no, no, no, no, no, no
Here we go, go, go, go, go, go

I think they’ve done it again
They made us believe we can win it my friends
Oh crickey
Friday seemed like a crash
But does that mean that it’s so serious
Cause we lost all goal senses
That so typically us
Oh crickey crickey

Oops we did it again
They messed with our heads, and then lost the game
Oh baby baby
Oops! We think they’re about
To end our long drought
But again we’re incompetent!

You see our problem is this
We’re blasting away
To 50/50 contests
I cry, watching the game
We are the fools handing out all the blame
At 7-2, we drop two in a row
Oh, no here we go
Oh baby oh…

Oops we did it again
They messed with our heads, and then lost the game
Oops! We think they’re about
To end our long drought
But again we’re incompetent!

Oh no, no, no, no, no, no
Oh no, no, no, no, no, no

Have panic stations set in??

Surely you can beat the crows??

Big game for you guys this weekend then REB - Adelaide are playing well but do they have a good record at Skilled - does anyone other than Geelong have a good record at Skilled?

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Monday, 6 June 2005 06:35 (twenty years ago)

Adelaide's record at Kardinia Park: won 3, lost 8. Two of the wins came in their last three encounters (won by 3 points in 2002, 17 in 2003, lost by 43 last season).

ojitarian (ojitarian), Monday, 6 June 2005 07:43 (twenty years ago)

Only Brisbane since they became the Lions (5 wins out of 6), Geelong (357 out of 565), Carlton (23 out of 42) and Collingwood (22 out of 41) have a better than 50% win rate at KP.

What he said. Besides Jase, if the premiership certainties can lose to the Cows maybe we can as well :)

Correct REB but is this the first sign of the pressure not being handled at geelong??? couple of injuries and suspensions (how the hell did mooney escape) and we will find out how good geelong.

Im punting the cats easily.

Injuries have hit many clubs this season and it takes time for teams to regather a structure once a few injuries strike. Collingwood were all at sea when Rocca went down but now have an alternative structure and now Geelong will have to do the same without Wojinski, Corey and now David Johnson.

Catter Thompson has admitted that the boys have not handled the pressure well and to whoever installed us as 'premiership favourites' I just want to say THANKS A LOT...er...NOT!! But if Geelong are to become the good team that all Cat lovers want them to be this is one of the steps along the way. St Kilda and Freo are also experiencing this stage of their evolution and I expect West Coast to have a wobble at some stage this year as well..hopefully in September and hopefully we will be there to take advantage of it.

REB, you are right - the competition is that level this year that the loss of 2 or three players hurts most clubs immensely

Take the Top 3 from each club
Adelaide - Riccuto, McLeod, Edwards - all playing, going great
Brisbane - Brown, Voss, Black - all missed much, struggling
Carlton - Stephens, Fev, um... - not enough cattle around to help
Collingwood - Buckley, Rocca Tarrant/Fraser - all missed when Pies were getting beaten
Essendon - Hird, Lloyd, Fletcher - all missed enough to struggle
Freo - Bell, Pavlich, Carrs - all around, going well
Geelong - All pretty even, but loss of key position Playfair and Mooney has hurt them
Hawks - Everitt, Hodge, Crawf - not enough experience around the key 3 or 4 blokes. ordinary list.
Kangaroos - Do they have a star? Maybe Grant, Wells, Archer who has missed
Melbourne - Bruce, White, Neitz - all missed a bit, have been inconsistant but still getting there
Richmond - Brown, Richo, Couglin - Brown gone, so is the season
Port - Cornes, Tredrea, James - no good without James... better now Chad is back and going ok
Saints - Reiwoldt, Harvey, Del Santo - struggling without big guns firing...
Swans - Hall, Goodes, Williams - Loss of Williams takes most options of pace away, struggling.
Weagles - Judd, Cox, Flethcer - lost without Judd...
Western Bulldogs - Darcy, West, Johnson - No Darcy, no dogs...

Every club has 3 or so players that the team structure and plans revolce around - West Coast are going so well due to no injuries or suspension, and smart player management.

Its a long season - and I reckon there will be major changes to the 8 by the end of the year...

Brisbane - Brown, Voss, Black - all missed much, struggling

Benno to this list add - Jamie Charman and Richard Hadley both very important players for Brisbane. With a bit of luck Charmo may be back this week.

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Tuesday, 7 June 2005 07:11 (twenty years ago)

Yeah Hadley is so important to Brisbane. So THAT'S why they aren't winning at the Gabba this season LMAO. What has he played? 30 games? Ppftt.

As for the Saints I'd say Hamill is the man they are missing most.

Yeah injuries, blah, blah, blah, if your aunty had balls etc......

However,......(you knew that was comin') I'm sure Hadley was the new face for the on-ball brigade in the Lions.

And if he'd played we wouldn't of blah, blah, blah ........... refer to the above!!!

Big Bird (Big Bird), Wednesday, 8 June 2005 03:42 (twenty years ago)

REB, that was off the top of me 'ead. I'd agree Hamill is as important as Reiwoldt to the Aints...

Bennö (Bennö), Wednesday, 8 June 2005 05:03 (twenty years ago)

Settle boys, I'm not saying Hadley would have made the difference between a win or loss but as I said both her and Charman are important players for the Lions.

I'm not making excuses for our losses, they haven't been playing consistently as a team is what I see as the problem.
