Essendon's recent ruckmen have been called Peter, John, Steve, Paul, David, Matthew and Jason.

But that may all be changing. With young Johns debuting today, and Cartledge named as an emergency the last couple of weeks, Essendon supporters may soon have to get used to a following division of Tristan and Courtney.

Well done Courts on overcoming a very nasty injury (and even nastier hair style) to play senior AFL football. Sheeds still hopes you will become to football what C. Walsh was to cricket. But at the very least, we all hope you don't become what C. Love is to music.

Thanks Fred, I needed a smile after that performance today. Unfortunately he looked like the music version today.:-)

What was Courtney Johns major injury that gets referred to without every being named? What is this blokes story, and why does Barnesy love him so much?

He dislocated his hip quite badly and was told by doctors to forget about playing footy ever agian. The guy has worked his arse off and against all the odds is playing footy again.

He has everyones respect at Windy Hill, not just Barnsey.

nine months pass...
Courtney Johns will show everyone just why the coaching staff have been so supportive over the past years - Just watch and see him... Have faith poeple. Barnsey has the ability to recognise true talent and he'll be proven right in 2006.

Ps: Has anyone ever seen Courtney John's Girlfriend? She's awesome! Smart, beautiful - he really is the messiah!
