World game.

I was thinking about a situation where Australian football was successfully exported and became the 'world game', relacing soccer.

What styles would various countries use when playing?

Would Brazil play with lots of flair and attacking play ?
Would the Germans be dour?
Would the Italians be defensive (eg flooding)?

nope. But AFL would be played on a soccer field. and with a round ball. and you wouldn't be able to use your hands...

And you wouldn't be able to score goals
And the richest team would win
And the crowd would get so bored they start a few fights
...and rip up the seats
...and throw some flares
...and fight with those blokes from that other country that you've somehow hated for nearly a thousand years.

Great stuff soccer.

........ and only 3 of 97 clubs would make a profit
........ club would dictate the set up of international games
........ and Norwich would have to sponsor the best dive by a novice
........ and there would be fewer women and kids in the crowd
........ and best of all, some prick who knows nothing about the game can buy your club because he thinks is a good investment and one of only three that makes money

Soccer..... invented by the English and ignored in the English speaking world - the game that makes Latin crosswords an attractive option!!!!
