Kno-Walls

I read Kno-Walls article in the paper the other day with reference to the Eagles forward structure. His comments were to the effect that the structure was to big, too rigidlyset up and that Worsfold was too slow to react. I thought it unusual in that the Eagles had just won their Final.

Woosha was asked on local TV News about the article and his comment, to my thinking, was priceless.

Words to this effect "Robert Walls is not one of my mentors and I do not ring him for advice. His views do not have any effect on the Eagles forward structure"

Absolutely love it!!!

I thought Walls had a good point. The Eagles totally dominated in the middle and Judd, Cousins, Fletcher and Kerr (top 4 possesion winners on the ground) racked up a zillion possesions, but could only kick 10 goals.

They are very fortunate that Sydney were off target and the umpires were pathetic.

Woosha's back up comment was that the Eagles were the highest scoring team of the top 4 over the season using the same set up. They would love to kick 50 goals every game but external factors such as the opposition team had an impact on that aim.

The main point was to kick more than the team they were playing.

My point is not about the Eagles set up, good or bad. It's about someone putting Kno-Walls back in his box.
