Lance Whitnall...wants 400 thou a year
Shannon Grant....wants 600 thou a year

If these idiots get what they want plenty of kids will be playing for the minimum wage or these guys won't be playing football next season. Would you want YOUR club to paying this kind of dosh for these players? Surely their best football is behind both of these blokes. Sheer madness..but Collingwood will probably be interested LOL.

I remember an interview with Royce Hart several years ago where he mentioned that he was offered, and accepted, something like 15 dollars a game and 6 dress shirts to sign up with Richmond.

Which of the two above is good enough to wear those shirts?

Interesting some of teh names on the market supposedly

Lappin, Hay, Crawford, Whitnall, Camporeale, Fevola, Grant and Medhurst, some big names with some big paypackets. Be interesting who goes where.

Id be happy for port to grab either whitnall or fevola.

Fremantle will swap Medhurst for Hay, Medhurst will become the champion small forward he can be and Fremantle will end up with another has been.

I'm with jsa.. I'd have Fevola or Whitnall (Whitnell??) in my team.

Medhurst always will be a dud, does nothing, doesnt chase not a team player.

jsa, Thursday, 15 September 2005 04:29 (twenty years ago)

Medhurst is the biggest small forward dud in the game.

That entire list of jases is blokes past their prime and asking more than they are worth.

Of all of them, I'd have Shannon Grant. There aren't too many genuine gun hff's these days, and he won four or 5 games for the Roos off his own boot this year. But 600k? Only the top midfielders should command that sort of dough...

Freemantle would swap Medhurst for hay, if there form in recent trades is any guide.

Lance Whitnall...wants 400 thou a year
Shannon Grant....wants 600 thou a year

Very big ask for both of them - considering their ages 250 - 300 per year max.

As for Medhurst his biggest problem is inconsistency and an individual player. The right coach would sort him out teach him to play a team game - you just never know away from the poxy Farmer he may be a very good consistent, team player.

No, Jase..it's 600k a year he wants..at least that's what I think he wants (as you know I'm fairly good at getting things wrong LOL).

Why would Port want Fevola? Even Pagan couldn't get some discipline into him. Whitnall and Lappin would both be welcome additions to the Cats.

Fevola is a 60 goal a year forward those arent easy to come by, would be very surprised if carlton offloaded him.

Lappin, is you run of the mill small forward/defender, every club has at least 3 or 4 that are the equal of lappin.

jsa, Thursday, 15 September 2005 22:17 (twenty years ago)

Lappin is a good mark for his size I reckon and still has a bit left,I reckon any Carlton player who leaves that rabble would improve..with the possible exception of Febola who would be down in the dumps if he didn't touch the leather for a while...
