Why Carlton will re-draft Camporeale

Re-drafting a bloke against his will always plays well with the chest-beating 'stick-it-up-him' class of idiot punter, and within the AFL who never tire of upholding The Integrity Of The Draft. It also gives a few other morons a cheap laugh at Kevin Sheedy and his crew.

If Campo comes back and pulls his finger out, the club head honchos can claim all the credit. If he sits out the year getting six kicks a game for the Preston Bullants, hey, at least he isn't kicking six for Essendon or Collingwood, and they can give him the flick at a time of their choosing bagging him all the way across Royal Parade:

"We offered the olive branch and he rammed it down our throat. We won't have created needless division among the team, he will. The point is he took the money and bludged in the seconds, not that we offered it in the first place."

So what if it makes a bad team worse. It won't be the club's fault. The spin doctors will well and truly see to that.
