Naturellement, LL.

A comment in today's "West Australian" mentioned that Matera was the best of his type of player in the comeptition.

Of course he will be missed, but he can also be replaced.

Latterly Matera was almost the ONLY player of his type in the competition.

He was handy when conditions were in his favor, but that was happening less and less. But his game against the Roos in the middle of this year was a blinder.

I think the real reason he jacked it in was because he realised he was starting to LOOK like big bro!

He was a handy player. Not as good as Peter, but then again no more than half a dozen blokes running around at the same time were.

Probably the best part of Phil was that HE never pretended to be his brother and made do with his own ability and perfected his position on the field.

The best part about Matera is he is Gorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn. At least the Toast have Gardiner and Lynch to kick their goals LOL. Medhurst to the Toast if Harvey ends up with the Freo gig LMAO.
