Thomas and Butress announce they are starting a new company specialising in corporate management training. Lindsay Gaze is appointed interim coach for the rest of the season so a "full and proper process can be gone through for finding the new coach of the St Kilda Football Club" Bradley Gotch is appointed as the new coach.

Pagen resigns after the Blues win another spoon, "for the good of the club". Pagan and Carlton end up in court trying to finalise the contract payout. Carlton tries to sell the contract to the AFL.
